TECHNICAL AREA
The invention relates to a tool-free aufbaubares and collapsible piece of furniture according to the independent claim.
STATE OF THE ART
Buildable and dismountable pieces of furniture are known. Cabinets are taken as an example below. In such cabinets, the items are fastened together using a variety of links and connection systems. For example, wooden pins are first attached to a furniture part and the furniture part plugged into another piece of furniture. This connection system is mainly used for connections that are not exposed to great forces. Mostly additional screw or clamp connections are required at the most heavily loaded joints. Furthermore, furniture is often attached by means of nails to other pieces of furniture. As an example, mention is made of the rear wall of the cabinet, which is usually nailed into the rear edges of the side walls of the cabinet. These assemblable pieces of furniture have some disadvantages. On the one hand, the structure requires manual skill, for example when hammering the nail in the relatively narrow edge of a side wall, which is notoriously often results in that the nails are inserted obliquely and penetrate into the interior of the cabinet. On the other hand, the assistance of another person is usually required, especially in the construction of cabinets to hold a first cabinet wall while it is fixed. Furthermore, the structure usually takes some time, not least because all fasteners must be identified and assigned to the appropriate locations on the piece of furniture. Finally, tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, etc. are needed for the construction. Last but not least, in these solutions it is often not possible to rebuild the piece of furniture again after a reduction, or as often as desired, since in particular the areas of the connections are excessively stressed and damaged during use and / or during dismantling.
PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION
It is therefore the object to provide a piece of furniture, which brings relief in terms of the disadvantages mentioned.
This object is achieved with a novel piece of furniture according to claim 1. The piece of furniture may in particular be a cabinet, a sideboard or a bed frame.
According to the claims, the tool-free buildable and dismountable piece of furniture comprises a base element, two side walls and a rear wall. At the bottom element, two first elongate retaining elements are provided. The first holding elements each have a first groove on mutually facing sides. The first grooves are arranged opposite one another and configured in such a way that the rear wall can be inserted into the first grooves up to an intended assembly position.
In one embodiment, a second elongate retaining element is provided on the bottom element. The second holding element has an upwardly open second groove, which is aligned with the first grooves of the first holding elements and is configured such that a lower region of the rear wall is receivable therein. This increases the stability of the rear wall and minimizes the risk that it will be bent and possibly damaged. Since the rear wall is held on the one hand in the first grooves from the sides and on the other hand in the second groove from below, it does not have to be held by the user during construction.
Optionally, the bottom element is made in one piece with the first holding elements and the second holding element or the first holding elements and the second holding element are fixedly secured to the bottom element.
Alternatively, the second holding member may be omitted. In this case, the bottom element has an upwardly open second groove, which is aligned with the lateral grooves of the first holding elements and is configured such that a lower edge of the rear wall is receivable therein. In other words, a groove is provided directly in the bottom element. An advantage of this embodiment is that material is saved.
Also in this case, the bottom element is optionally designed in one piece with the first holding elements or the first holding elements are firmly attached to the bottom element.
Characterized in that the holding elements are designed in one piece with the bottom element, the installation is facilitated and accelerated.
Preferably, the first holding elements are higher than the second holding element. The first grooves preferably project upwardly beyond an upper edge of the second retaining element. In other words, the first grooves fulfill two tasks; On the one hand, they serve as support means for the rear wall and on the other hand as guide means for the correct insertion of the rear wall to the intended construction position. This in turn facilitates the construction for the user.
In one embodiment, a cover element is provided. The cover element can be fastened to upper edges of the side walls and the rear wall, in particular can be inserted.
Preferably, two elongate third holding elements are provided on the cover element, which correspond to the first holding elements, and a fourth holding element, which corresponds to the second holding element. In an intended construction position, the third holding elements and the fourth holding element facing the bottom element. Preferably, the third holding members have third grooves corresponding to the first grooves, and the fourth holding member has a fourth groove corresponding to the second groove. In other words, the cover element corresponds to the bottom element, but it is constructed in mirror image to the bottom element. This has the advantage that the construction is very stable. Another advantage is that the number of different parts is kept low, which in turn contributes to the simple construction of the piece of furniture and to a cost reduction in the production.
In this embodiment, the upper edges of the side walls on pins which can be inserted in corresponding recesses in a lower edge of the third holding elements. Alternatively, the lower edges of the third holding elements may have pins which can be inserted in corresponding recesses in the upper edges of the side walls.
But it is also possible to carry out the cover element differently. In one embodiment, only wooden pins can be used, by means of which the cover element can be inserted into corresponding recesses in the upper edges of the walls. Or the lid member may include grooves corresponding to the upper contour of the walls, so that the lid member is attached directly to the walls.
In one embodiment, lower edges of the side walls can each be fastened on an upper edge of the first holding elements. In particular, the lower edges of the side walls on pins which can be inserted in corresponding recesses in the upper edge of the first holding elements. Alternatively, the upper edges of the first holding elements may have pins which can be inserted in corresponding recesses in the lower edges of the side walls.
The inventive piece of furniture on the one hand has the advantage that no tool is needed, since all connections are realized by plugging. Further advantages are the speed and simplicity of the structure, without sacrificing stability. With the present system, the piece of furniture can be assembled and dismantled almost as often as desired.

WAYS FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Comments and definitions:
When inserting a furniture part in another it may be a form-fitting but also a non-positive connection. In certain cases, connections with a certain amount of play are also beneficial.
The terms "top, bottom" are to be understood in terms of gravity. For example, a "lower side" of a piece of furniture means a side facing the earth, while an "upper side" or "top" faces away from the earth.
The term "lateral" in this document is normally to be understood as the interior of the furniture, unless it is explicitly stated otherwise.
The term "rear" refers to the area of a rear wall of the piece of furniture, while the term "front" refers to an access area of the piece of furniture.
Structurally or functionally identical elements are indicated in all figures with the same reference numerals.
1 shows a schematic perspective view of a piece of furniture 1 according to the invention. The piece of furniture 1, in the example shown a cabinet, comprises a bottom element 8, on which two first holding elements 7 and one second holding element 6 are arranged. On each of the first holding elements 7, a side wall 3 is attached. At the second holding element 6, a rear wall 4 of the furniture 1 is attached.
The holding elements 7 and 6 may for example be wooden slats, which rest with one of its narrow sides (underside) on the bottom element 8.
Further, a lid member 2 is provided, are attached to the third holding elements and a fourth holding element. The third holding elements and the fourth holding element preferably correspond to the first holding elements 7 and the second holding element 6. This has the advantage that the number of different components of the piece of furniture 1 is reduced, resulting in lower production costs. In other embodiments, however, they can also have other dimensions. For example, they may be made narrower because they do not have to support the weight of the walls and serve primarily to increase stability. An advantage of such designs is the fact that on the one hand material is saved, and on the other hand, the piece of furniture is lighter. Further, the structure is facilitated because the lid member 2 can be lifted more easily with the holding elements 6, 7 in the building position.
But it is also possible to perform the cover element 2 entirely without holding elements 6, 7 and instead provide corresponding grooves directly in the cover element 2, which follow the U-shaped contour of the upper edges of the side walls 3 and the rear wall 4 and are so wide in that the edges of the walls 3, 4 are receivable therein. This reduces the number of parts and saves costs.
Preferably, the bottom element 8 with its holding elements 6, 7 and the cover element 2 with its holding elements 6, 7 are each in one piece, which facilitates the structure. In an equally advantageous embodiment, the holding elements 6, 7 fixedly fixed to the bottom element 8 and the lid member 2, for example by means of glue or other known attachment options. In one embodiment, the holding elements 6, 7 are fixed on the bottom element 8 or cover element 2. In another embodiment, the bottom element 8 or cover element 2 is fixed between the holding elements 6, 7. Since these elements can be supplied as one piece of time for the construction of the furniture 1 is reduced.
The piece of furniture 1 may optionally have one or more doors 5.
Furthermore, one or more suspension elements 10, in particular coat hooks, may be provided. The suspension element 10 can in particular be clamped between a third retaining element 7 and a side wall 3. So that a beautiful appearance of the piece of furniture is not disturbed, a recess can be provided either in the third holding element 7 or in the upper edge region of the side wall 3. Thus, it is also ensured that the entire lower edge of the third holding element 7 rests on the upper edge of the side wall 3.
Between the side wall 3 and the first and third holding elements 7, a trim strip may be provided, which on the one hand contributes to the visual embellishment but on the other hand also serves as a flexible spacer between the side wall and the holding element. Such a spacer, especially if it is made of rubber or plastic, allows it by cutting smaller areas even with built-up furniture, which is already in use, for example, later attach suspension elements 10.
In one embodiment of the furniture 1 connecting webs 12 are provided for fastening two pieces of furniture 1 together. In this case, the upper side of the cover element 2 comprises recesses which are designed such that the connecting webs 12 can be inserted therein, in particular by means of pins 13. This increases the stability of an ensemble of two or more pieces of furniture 1.
Fig. 2 shows a perspective detail view of a lower corner of the piece of furniture of Fig. 1, which is marked in Fig. 1 with the dashed square A. In Fig. 2, several details of the piece of furniture 1 are shown, which are not shown in the other figures for reasons of simplicity.
One or more securing webs 12 can be inserted to secure at least one of the side walls 3 on the associated first holding element 7 in the side wall 3 and the first holding element 7. Advantageously, these are the same webs, which also serve as said connecting webs for the connection of two pieces of furniture. This ensures that the same elements are used with different functions in this case, which as mentioned 3 reduces the cost and make a contribution to a better overview in the construction of the piece of furniture 1.
In this context, it should be mentioned that the webs 12 can also be used as handles for the doors, which is not shown in the figures.
In Fig. 2, a part of a door 5 of the furniture 1 is shown in the open position. The door 5 is rotatably mounted on one of the side walls 3 by means of at least two hinges 13, of which only one is shown here for the sake of simplicity. The hinges are preferably cup hinge hinges. In certain embodiments, which are preferred here, these cup hinge hinges 13 can be clamped in recesses in the door 5 or in the side wall 3 and the associated holding element 7, so that no tool is necessary for this purpose. It is preferable that a base plate 13a of each hinge 13 is fixed on one side to the corresponding side wall 3 and on the other side to the corresponding first holding member 7, as shown in the figure. In this way, the connection between the first holding element 7 and side wall 3 is additionally reinforced.
Fig. 3 shows a plan view of a rear portion of the bottom member 8 (area A of Fig. 1) of the furniture 1 with holding elements 6, 7 but without the rear wall 4 and without side wall 3 to illustrate the structure. As can be seen in Fig. 3, the first groove 9a is aligned with the second groove 9b. Of course, all details also apply to the other first groove 9a, not shown here.
The piece of furniture 1 is now positioned so that first the bottom element 8 is placed in the intended position. Subsequently, the rear wall 4 is inserted with its lower edge in the first grooves 9a and pushed down, taking care that it is inserted as straight as possible. Of course, a certain tolerance of the thickness of the rear wall 4 can be taken into account in their preparation, so that the insertion is facilitated. If the rear wall 4 pushed further, it is taken from a certain insertion depth in the second groove 9b and on further insertion it reaches the bottom of the second groove, which corresponds to the intended construction position of the rear wall 4. Now the rear wall 4 is held on the one hand in the bottom area of the second groove 9b and on the other hand in its lower edge regions of the two first grooves 9a. This allows it to be released without the risk of bending or breakage. This facilitates the construction for the user to a considerable extent, since this can now concentrate entirely on the installation of the other parts. Subsequently, the side walls 3 can be inserted into the recesses 11. Preferably, the securing webs 12 are inserted, whereby the stability of the erected side wall 7 is increased immediately. If the side walls 3 are in their intended assembly position, the lid element 2 with the associated third and fourth holding elements 6, 7 is now pushed onto the upper edges of the side walls 3 and the rear wall 4. This results in a further advantage of the lateral grooves 9a, which are provided as mentioned for the third holding elements 7: the rear wall 4 can first be inserted into these grooves 9a, wherein the correct lid member position for the underlying user is easy to see. Upon further lowering of the lid member 4, this automatically has substantially the correct orientation, so that the pins provided in the third holding elements 7, readily fit into the corresponding recesses in the upper edges of the side walls 3, which is without the guiding function of the third grooves 9a would be much more difficult because the user can not see the correct positions. This further contributes to the acceleration of the construction of the piece of furniture 1. Finally, the doors are mounted with the hinges 13 in a known manner.
Of course, in the interior of the furniture 1 other elements, such as subjects, hangers, etc. may be provided.
The length of the holding elements 6, 7 typically corresponds to the associated edge length of the base or cover element. In one embodiment, the grooves 9a, 9b have a width of 11 mm, although other widths are of course possible. In general, the width of the grooves obviously depends on the thickness of the rear wall 4.
Typically, the furniture 1 is constructed in a few minutes without tools. Due to the reuse of the same parts for different functions, the structure is clearer and the probability of a build-up due to the use of parts in the wrong place is minimized. Last but not least, degradation is just as easy and reusability very high, since no invasive attachment means are used, e.g. Nails etc.
Although preferred embodiments of the invention have been described, it should be understood that the invention may be embodied otherwise in the scope of the following claims. As used herein, terms such as "preferred," "particular," "advantageous," etc., refer to optional and exemplary embodiments only.
